Rohling to assume USARAF command

VICENZA, Italy — Gen. Stephen J. Townsend, the commander of U.S. Africa Command, will officiate at the U.S. Army Africa change of command ceremony at 10 a.m. on July 15 at Caserma Ederle, during which current USARAF Commanding General Maj. Gen. Roger Cloutier will relinquish command to incoming commander Maj. Gen. Andrew M. Rohling.

Host nation social distancing guidelines will be enforced, requiring physical attendance to be limited to invited guests. The event will be livestreamed for the public on the USARAF Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ArmyAfrica.

Rohling most recently served as the U.S. Europe Command deputy commanding general. Cloutier assumed command of USARAF in August 2018.
